In awe of springtime once again

We are firmly in the middle of spring here. Not early, hopeful spring, when there are still cold days to plan ahead, but spring that barely lets you catch your breath. The days are filled with honeybee work, goats kidding, a broody hen and a dozen young chicks, gardens to plant and blooms exploding wherever I look. I love it. It seems like I've partly forgotten each year that it will happen, and am awed and delighted all over again at the wonder and beauty.  It brings to mind a quote from C.S. Lewis,

"It was when I was happiest that I longed most...The sweetest thing in all my life has been the longing...to find the place where all the beauty came from."
